In this episode of Witchcast Podcast, we step into the history, lore, and lingering ghosts of the Chelsea Hotel with special guest Man-Laï (@manlaievents): event planner, documentary associate producer, and longtime resident of the iconic building. From nights partying in 1980s Studio 54 to chance encounters with the Chelsea’s colorful characters, Man-Laï shares stories from NYC’s wild and creative golden age.
We explore the artists, musicians, and eccentrics who shaped the Chelsea’s legendary reputation, the paranormal activity rumored to haunt its halls, and how both the hotel and the city have changed over time. Man-Laï also shares her own memories of ghostly and strange encounters, many of which are featured in the documentary The Ghosts of the Chelsea Hotel, now streaming on Amazon Prime and Tubi.
To close the episode, she pulls a card from her Phantomwise Tarot with a message for the week.
